The roots of THABIZOLO COMMUNICATIONS & ELECTRONICS cc (TCE) can be traced back to the year 1998, when the founder member Mr Fanyana Vincent Msimango took up cellular phone repairs as a hobby at a backroom of his parents home at KATLEHONG and turned it into a profitable business. The informal business was known as FANCELLSOUND.
In 2004 the company had grown dramatically, therefore compelling us to expand our premises and add to our staff by acquiring the services of one part time technician in addition.
In 2005 the name THABIZOLO COMMUNICATIONS & ELECTRONICS cc was registered, when the company was formalized and structured. We were now operating on full time basis.
Due to growth, we were no more concentrating on cell-phone repairs and sales only, but also on offering numerous electronic services to nearby industries/companies. Namely, General Electronics repairs and Computer, components sourcing & supply and printer consumables sales etc.
In July 2007, TCE was elected to enter into an agreement with FoneWorx (PTY)Ltd to acquire their sister company - Valuetronics. This was part of FoneWorx's enterprise development program. Valuetronics was in existence for about ten years and their core business was the development and supply of Electronic Guard Monitoring Systems to the security industry. An agreement of understanding was signed on the 19 th July 2007.
On 1st September 2007, we acquired another office/workshop at Farrar Park, Boksburg which we devoted to cater for the security industry. This was necessary to make us more accessible to our clients. We are also continuing with the development of our products as the technology advances. We have also recently extended our product range by supplying various Security related equipment & accessories.
We believe we have an outstanding management team and staff to guide T.C.E. and its
clients to a prosperous future. Mr Msimango has a 13 year good record as an electronics
design and repair technician at SPOORNET. The last four of these years holding a 40%
managerial position and 60% technical.
He obtained his Electrical Engineering diploma
(Electronics) in 1992 and has completed various short courses. Eg. Project Management.
He is also a member of the Engineering Council of South Africa since the year 1997.
Mrs D.C. Msimango holds a Credit Controller diploma and 8 years experience in the credit controller /
finance field. She also has 7 years experience as a Business Analyst.
T.C.E. strives for success that is measured not only by it's commercial achievements, but also by it's contribution to the broader community. That is why we are involved in the following.
• Assisting high school / technical college students in their electronics
projects at no cost.
• We belong to SIYAPHAMBILI which is an organization formed on the basis
of motivating students to stretch themselves so they can reach their true
potential.
• We annually provide awards and hold motivational sessions in the KATHORUS
area.• We contribute from time to time to NYELETIS CHILDREN'S HOME which
is based in Putfontein, Benoni.
